Attendance to courses and tutorials is compulsory. Exceptions for health reasons must be certified. Other exceptions must be authorized explicitly by the Coordinator of the programme.
At the end of each regular course students must sit an exam. The performance of each student will be assessed at the end of the first year, after all exam are completed. Evaluation will take into account the exam result, attendance and participation.
MOBILITY
A request must be formally made to the IEL doctoral board, without which
students are not authorized to study at any other institution other than
Collegio Carlo Alberto or any of the other members of the IEL PhD programme.
ADMISSION TO THE II YEAR
Introductory courses:
- if all 3 introductory moduels are failed, the student is automatically out of the programme
- if 2 out of 3 modules are failed, the student must re-take and pass them by the end of the courses
First and Second Terms:
- if 3 out of 7 modules are failed, the student is automatically out of the programme.
- By the end of the first year, students must submit a research proposal to the programme Coordinator.
ADMISSION TO THE III YEAR
Admission to III year is based on the evaluation of the progress in the research work. See Regulation on the Progress toward the Ph.D. dissertation.
